Reunion...
Today has been…magical. You arrived just after midnight, and we spent the evening talking, napping, and basking in the pure joy of touch. I don’t know that either of us has stopped smiling, save for in sleep, which came only in small doses, as we couldn’t bear to waste a moment of lost time. As the day progressed, we stayed lost in one another, carving from time a world all our own.
My love…You have never been so beautiful as when you came around the corner and fell into my arms, without reservation nor hesitation, or when you looked up at me and we kissed, a brief moment that felt like forever. You’re outside now, tending to the world that continued spinning in our absence, but when you come back in, we’ll pick up where we left off. I love you, my sweet girl, and…well, you’re right here with me, now and always.
